The Lawrence County Reading Festival was held at the Cathedral on January 20th. Students from around the county read four books and competed with each other in several different events to demonstrate their skills.  Mrs. Vitale accompanied 22 Union students in grades 4, 5, and 6 who competed in the event.  Michaela Metzger, a 6th grader at our district, won third place in the writing contest!  Our group of readers won 1st Place overall at the competition.  Congratulations to all the students who competed!
