We are excited to welcome students back for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 24.  Below, please find some updates and information for the new school year. 

OPEN HOUSE AND ORIENTATION INFORMATION 

Elementary Open House

Date:  Tuesday, August 30

Time:  6:00 pm – 7:30 pm 

6th Grade Orientation

Date:   Tuesday, August 23

Time:   5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Please plan to meet in the auditorium to begin the orientation.  You will have time to visit classrooms and teachers after the orientation.

7th – 12th Grade Open House

Date:   Tuesday, August 23

Time:   5:30 pm – 6:45 pm

The 7th through 12th-grade open house will follow an open format.  After receiving a copy of your schedule, you will be free to visit classrooms and meet teachers in any order you wish.

Cafeteria Information

The free breakfast and lunch waiver has expired.  Breakfasts and lunches will again be charged to student accounts for this school year.  Families who qualify for free or reduced prices are encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application.  The application will be included in your student’s folder, which they will receive on the first day of school.  If your student is already directly certified as free, you will receive a letter in your youngest student’s folder, and you do not need to complete an application.  You may also complete the application online at https://www.schoolcafe.com/.  (Directions for accessing schoolcafe.com are below.)

School Cafe Information

School Cafe provides a secure, online platform for parents to make payments to their student’s cafeteria accounts, view school menus and nutritional information, and review your student’s buying history.  For directions on getting signed up, please click HERE.

Synchronous Learning

Synchronous learning will not be available this school year.  If your student cannot attend school in person, please reach out to your school office to discuss options for your student. 

Parent Square
The district will use Parent Square as its communication tool, including district-wide and building-wide messages, absence notifications, and all-calls.  If you have not set up your account, you are encouraged to do so as soon as possible to avoid missing any important communications. Parent Square will also have the district’s most up-to-date calendar of events.  

Start Times

Middle/High School – if you plan to drop off your student, please do not do so before 7:30 am.  Students must be in their 1st-period class by 7:50 am, or they will be considered tardy. 

Elementary – drop-off for elementary students will begin at 8:15 am.  No students will be permitted to be dropped off before this time.  

Bus Information

Your bus information will be the same as last year.  If there are changes to bus arrangements, the transportation office will reach out to you directly.  

Home Access Center

The Home Access Center is updated for the new school year.  Your username and password have remained the same as last year.  If you do not remember your username or need to have your password reset, please contact your student’s school office.  You can find the Home Access Center link at the top of the district website.  

Other Important Paperwork and Information

Your student will receive a folder on the first day of school (6th grade will receive it at orientation) with additional information and paperwork that will need to be completed.  Included in that folder will be your student’s emergency information for you to update with any changes.  Please be sure to ask your student for this folder after the first day of school.
